Hey There Perennial Folks!
When was the last time you threw something away that could have been used again?
Maybe it was yesterday, or maybe it was years ago, but we’ve all been there. For most, it’s a pretty routine occurrence- but it doesn’t have to be. Whether it’s a broken coffee table, a worn out pair of jeans, an old book, or even a tin can, there are countless ways to transform an old item into something useful, meaningful, and even beautiful.
Perennial is a 501(c)3 non-profit that teaches and inspires people to take creative action and repurpose items that might normally be thrown in the trash, transforming the way our community consumes and creates. As a grassroots non-profit, your donations are essential for us to keep working toward our vision for a creative and sustainable future.
One of our biggest achievements over the last year was opening our workshop in the St. Louis neighborhood of South Carondelet. It’s hard to believe that a little over six months ago we were having meetings in my tiny one-bedroom apartment, and my basement was stacked with salvaged furniture.
The most exciting thing about our new home? It’s that we now have the potential to achieve so much more! Our shop invites St. Louis to engage with us in new meaningful ways, providing a space to truly foster a community of responsible and creative citizens.
Whether you took our Upholstery Basics Class, came out to our crafting happy hour event reMAKE, or made a donation towards our first big campaign in 2011, you’re the reason we have accomplished so much in our first year and half serving St. Louis.
This city is an important place to be. Perennial is a unique and innovative concept that plays an essential role in the reanimation of St. Louis! We need your support to continue our work and to help us reach our full potential with our new shop and in our community.
